“Relive the Long Way Up adventure, Experience The Road Before the Ride”

Harley-Davidson have released a 5-part series on YouTube following the development of the HD Live-Wire for the 13,000-mile trip, Long Way Up.

The Harley-Davidson team behind the engineering of the LiveWire bikes used on Long Way Up are joined by Ewan Mcgregor, Charley Boorman and directors David Alexanian and Russ Malkin as they discuss taking the idea from concept to development to reality.

Follow the journey from deciding on going electric, to taking on the engineering challenge of turning an unreleased prototype electric motorcycle into an adventure machine, through to trying the bikes for the first time in the Patagonian snow.

The talented Harley-Davidson team face many challenges in updating the Livewire bikes to take on challenging terrains, all weather types and to enable a longer range to make a trip like this possible. Follow the design team and the many changes including suspension, wheels, luggage racks, crash bars and protection panels, unique seats for each rider and groundbreaking technology.

Long Way Up and Harley-Davidson were able to create a moment in time, taking on the challenges in development and overcoming obstacles during the 13,000 mile.
